Hi RDAP community,

Recently, the RDAP Executive Board was approached by the coordinators of the National Data Integrity Conference (NDIC)<http://www.ndicannual.com/mission/> with a request for RDAP to include NDIC's scope and community in the annual RDAP summit, representing an informal merger. Once a Colorado State University conference focused on Research Data and Data Integrity, NDIC is no longer active yet the coordinators still believe in the mission and relevance of the material. The coordinators are part of the RDAP community and have long identified the overlap between the two conferences. After discussions with the coordinators, RDAP feels that it is within our scope to incorporate some of the themes previously represented at NDIC (data quality, reproducible research, implicit bias, and ethical implications of data collection), while revisioned towards the RDAP audience and our practitioner point of view. Our hope is that by involving the coordinators from NDIC in our conference planning committee, we will include a focus of data integrity into RDAP's programming, expand our community, and learn something new!

As always, we are very interested in the community's thoughts on this direction. If you would like to provide feedback as to why you do or do not support this effort, please use this form<https://cornell.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6tfFQ2dyKBpH9Hf> to submit your thoughts by Friday August 3, 2018.

In other news, our new RDAP website<http://rdapassociation.org/> is up (and in need of new material and revisions- we're on it!) . We will have more information to share soon but in the meantime, please always send questions that you may have to RDAPBoard at gmail.com<mailto:RDAPBoard at gmail.com> .

Be well RDAP'ers!
