Hi RDAP community,

The 2019 RDAP Sponsorship Committee would appreciate your help in locating and connecting with potential sponsors for the annual Summit to be held at the University of Miami on May 15-17, 2019. Sponsorship directly benefits YOU and your colleagues by lowering attendance costs. Lowering the registration cost is important because it allows more people to attend which, in turn, strengthens and expands the diversity of our community. Our 2018 Summit sponsors helped us lower registration cost by $32,500. The 2019 Summit sponsorship goal is $30,000. Here's how you can help:

Become a Sponsor!

Sponsors of the 2019 RDAP Summit get direct face-to-face networking time and exposure with a core and growing community of over 180 library and information professionals that specialize in research data management and curation. Our community of researchers, practitioners, and librarians come from predominantly U.S. academic, government, and private sectors and they work on a wide range of issues such as data storage, data analysis, massive data transfer, metadata, data curation, open data/data publication, and digital preservation. In 2018, eight academic libraries and an iSchool helped us meet our sponsorship goal and helped reduce registration fees by 52%!

Help Us Connect with Sponsors!

Please share this message with anyone who may be interested sponsoring the 2019 Summit. Our growing network of research data professionals and sponsor partners is what makes RDAP special and your help is appreciated. In mid-2018, RDAP became the RDAP Association, an independent, not for profit, professional association aimed advancing best practices in research data and providing professional development opportunities to our community.

RDAP is a close-knit and engaged community, looking to build partnerships and learning opportunities with colleagues in the education, nonprofit, and commercial spheres. RDAP sponsors are equally excited to be a partners with practitioners and institutions and recognize that all benefit from community-building and dialog.

Thank you for your essential support.

Sincerely,

Trisha Adamus (chair), Cunera Buys, Jen Ferguson, and Tobin Magle
