The Louis Calder Memorial Library on the University of Miami Medical Campus
is recruiting for a new Biomedical Data Librarian position.


BIOMEDICAL DATA LIBRARIAN



The University of Miami Libraries seek applications for an innovative and
collaborative professional for the position of Biomedical Data Librarian.
Reporting to the Head of Data Services, this position will play a central
role in developing and providing library services for access, use, and
manipulation of quantitative and qualitative datasets in biomedical
research, scientific research, and laboratory environments. The UM
Libraries are in the process of building a coordinated cross-campus data
services and data management infrastructure and this position will play a
critical role in creating a data services component for the medical campus.
The incumbent will provide consultative and instructional services on
software programs for data analysis (such as SPSS, R, and Tableau), open
science practices and policies, and best practices in data management, as
well as facilitate access to data resources across medical disciplines. An
ALA-accredited MLS or MLIS degree or a Master’s degree or higher in a
relevant data-intensive discipline are required.
