[Rdap] research platforms

Something like Hydorshare? https://www.hydroshare.org/
Not so much for sensitive data … but I know they collaborate.

I too am interested in this information. Especially for research groups working at different institutions and sharing sensitive data.

Daureen and I were talking about a scenario where you have folks at say UC and OSU needing to share data, but have different infrastructures. What tool would help them facilitate their research and protect the data? I think they would need to purchase a tool like Labarchives for this particular scenario. But if the data is not sensitive, then the OSF is a good place to start.

Repositories are better for datasets that are complete or if dynamic, have points that make sense to timestamp and give a DOI. Research Platforms would be better places for the working phase of the research.

Sorry fo the confusion. Im not looking for data repositories, but platforms containing tools for working with the data by a community- and multiple communities. The platform usually contains a place to store and share data. These platforms are being built for specifi c research disciplines. Sorta like an ELN on steriods.

Hi Daureen,
You might also try re3data: Registry of Research Data Repositories https://www.re3data.org/. It had most but not all of the sites you listed.
Best,
Jenn

Hi, Daureen,

I'm new to the list. Maybe this list will be helpful?

https://www.nature.com/sdata/policies/repositories#general

It's all the data repositories accepted by Nature Group magazines, organized by discipline and tools.

Hi,
Does anyone know of a listing of research platforms?
I’m familiar with these platforms
https://wholetale.org
https://kbase.us
and all the BD2K at NIH https://commonfund.nih.gov/bd2k/centers.
https://www.agbiodata.org/
Just heard about https://crcns.org/
And I’m working with a group to create one for the southern right whales.

So I know there are a bunch out there, but haven’t found an efficient way of finding them when needed.

Thanks for any leads
Daureen
