<div dir="ltr">The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) invites original student submissions for a research paper competition on data curation. <br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_quote">

<div><br></div><div>The competition encourages and highlights exemplary student research on data curation, including, but not limited to, such topics as:</div><div>
<ul><li>Data management planning<br></li><li>Support of the data curation lifecycle<br></li><li>Metadata<br></li><li>Data confidentiality<br></li><li>Preservation<br></li><li>Cost modeling<br></li></ul></div><div>
It is open to all undergraduate, master's, or PhD students, and recent graduates who graduated on or after April 1, 2013. Entrants may be from the US or outside the US.<br></div><div><br></div><div>
This contest is new in 2014 and was initiated with the help of longtime ICPSR Official Representative Libbie Stephenson.</div><div><br></div><div>The first-place winner receives $1,000; second place, $750.</div>
