Hi all,
If any of you are working with historical data materials, or are interested
in learning about the topic, you might consider submitting to / attending a
couple of upcoming events.

1. The Rescue of Data At Risk: An RDA-CODATA Workshop, September 8-9, 2016,
held in Boulder, CO. The final registration date is Aug 31 (reserve hotel
room by Aug 10 to get the workshop rate). For more information:

2. "Making Historical Data Available for Modern Science" - a session at the
next meeting of the American Meteorological Society/Atmospheric Science
Librarians International groups, to be held in Seattle in January 2017. The
session is open to submissions through Aug 3 (the below link incorrectly
says Aug 1). See the joint session announcement at the bottom of this page:

Please let me know if you have questions about either of these events.
Would love to see you there!
Best,
Matt
